Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC)
Provides advisement to the administration regarding matters of technology on campus.
Subcommittees to the ITAC include:
Academic Technology (AT)
Provide analysis and recommended direction in support of the efficient implementation of academic technology resources and functions campus-wide. Consistent, high-quality service to students and faculty will facilitate the education process and strengthen the University.Data Infrastructure and Administrative Computing (DI&ADM)
Provide analysis and recommended direction in support of the efficient implementation of data infrastructure and administrative computing resources and functions campus-wide. Common data access and coordinated policy development will improve the University's ability to appropriately access and analyze data and informationHigh Performance Computing (HPC)
Identify, report, support, and advocate UF faculty interests, needs and opportunities in High Performance Computing. Provide recommended direction in support of HPC capacity.Network Infrastructure (NI)
Provide analysis and recommended direction in support of a comprehensive, managed approach to network infrastructure for moving voice, video and data throughout the University enterprise.

Video Advisory GroupInformation Security Management (ISM)
Promote campus-wide security awareness/compliance through outreach and consultation. Follow-up on the recently completed university-wide security risk assessment and work directly with unit personnel to address the findings of that report.

P2P File Sharing Task Force » Created for the purpose of evaluating current campus file sharing practices and to verify if current policy defined appropriate usage of said programs. The final report for submission to the ITAC committee is available here in PDF format.
